In the music world, the key goal sought by many involved is an impressive resume. This winds up being a popularity contest, while the base elements of the music are often overlooked. Often, a musical artist's success depends on who went where, or who knows who. The focus is placed on the big powerhouses in the music world, but this also obscures the visibility of the lesser-known bands, record labels, and other areas of the industry. Many of these overlooked resources have a greater depth of talent, and may also have a strong sway in their particular locale. Sometimes getting a strong foothold in a region requires the identification of these lesser-known bands, to solicit their help in expanding into areas once deemed beyond reach.
The problem is, how can you find these bands and other aspects of the music world in these localized regions? Having lived in various areas of the world, and having friends in many locations not thought of, Draven has a strong network of scouts and other individuals involved in the music industry. They point him in the direction of these hidden gems. These resources, along with this website, present a powerful combination that can open even more doors, while offering clearer insights about potential competition that may lurk in certain countries.
What other barriers to entry exist? For one, there is the massive expense of advertising, which both musical artists and record labels pay dearly to get a band's name out into the world. The problem here is that the label's focus is on getting more exposure for both the bands and the label, while a band seeks only its own visibility. This arrangement is common, and while not being bad in the overall scheme of the music industry, the band and the label do not always see eye-to-eye in the base presentation. What if there was a localized resource which tied the two together, to help promote both band and label, hand-in-hand? This is one of the many objectives of DJ-Draven.com. Why work as separate arms of a potentially disunified entity, when combining talent with business can be so much more potent?
Detailed below are what the two membership packages currently offer. More features will be added to each package, but the cost will never increase for those who are active, paying members of this website.
Basic Package:
- For each band signed to your label, a minimum of two songs per month played on air;
- Albums added to the primary pool for the radio shows which best represent the genres of your bands;
- One written interview per six months for your label and any signed bands, with additional interviews for tours and/or album releases;
- One pre-recorded audio interview per six months for your label and any signed bands, to be aired at least once in the United States,
at least once in Europe, and posted on DJ-Draven.com— plus additional audio interviews for tours and/or album releases; - A custom-built profile on this website for your label, plus profiles for any signed bands
(we will build it with you in mind, and you have final approval on the presentation); - Signed bands become eligible for the "Band Of The Month" feature;
- Signed bands have a higher priority for the "Song Of The Week" feature;
- Live performance or other event information is listed in the Event Calendar;
- An online bio provided by you (or a bio written for you by the moderators of this site, which will be posted with your approval);
- Reviews on each album in Draven's collection (you may provide additional albums for review, and for the radio shows);
- Links to each of your websites, including social networking sites such as MySpace ®, etc.;
- Links for listeners to purchase your music or other merchandise
(typically Amazon ® and iTunes ®, plus many other affiliates located in the U.S.A., Europe, and Russia); - Your logo or banner appears on the bio for each band you have under contract;
- Your logo or banner appears on each album listing for which you own the mechanical copyright;
- Basic information on signed bands based on your input.
Advanced Package (upgrades in addition to the Basic Package):
- Minimum of five songs per month played on air;
- Bands signed to a label are given a guaranteed three "Song Of The Week" slots (of Draven's choice);
- Guaranteed three "Song Of The Week" slots (of Draven's choice);
- Personal assistance to support any needs you may have in the many facets of the music world,
including tours, concert locations, opening bands, referrals for club and/or radio promotion, etc.; - Posting information on the Event Calendar for any events you are sponsoring, plus providing this information to local clubs, DJs, and promoters;
- Evaluations of any website you may possess, offered on behalf of our programmers and internet marketing staff;
- Demo material from promising bands, as recommended by Draven, with in-depth overviews of what each prospective signee has to offer;
- Initial contact of prospective bands on your behalf, if requested.
As with anything related to business, there is always an expense. These fees are in place to ensure that we can continue to support the bands and the
musical artists, who we are always here for. However, the cost is quite low— it's a very minor expense to you!
NOTE:
- The fees below cover all that is offered above. There are no hidden costs! (please refer to the terms of service for more information);
- Prices are subject to change for monthly advertising memberships, whereas prices will not increase for each month prepaid (yearly).
- Please note that the price in US dollars is the constant base price. Due to repetitive flucuations in exchange rates, please refer to online resources (such as www.xe.com) to get the most up-to-date costs. We will update the listed costs in UK pounds and EU euros regularly, but we can't guarantee that the listed cost in these currencies is always accurate.
