Hello Kiddies..... Just to show that I am eager to respond to mail and embarrass the listeners as much as myself, here is a response to a couple of e-mails with the same question: Why do I use no intro to my shows? Let me be rude and start this with a question..... how many DJs start out with a song and intro? Right, a ton of them. Why should we all play by set rules and do as we are told? The purpose of DJing is to share the music that is out there and to express the thoughts that come into the wicked mind of the DJ. This is why I sometimes talk all the time and other times you will not hear a peep. Ok, maybe a peep, but not a lot of talking. Deep down, I prefer to set a mood with the shows and to help entice you to the shows with a mix of well known music and rare goodies that I find in the world. With that I have to give thanks to the minions I have that hunt the world for the little gems that I eagerly share with you, the listeners. Without them and the bands there would be nothing, but me making morbid raunchy jokes. For two hours a show that can get a bit old. I am not George Carlin or Robin Williams although. Granted I have been told that we all three need therapy. Now that would be a feat since Carlin is dead. What an image, two nuts and a corpse in the psychiatrists office for therapy. What can make this even more morbid is that I do have a show called Draven’s Asylum with Carlin as the “Director” of the facility. How else to have an Asylum? A dead guy with a razor wit is always needed for any show like that with a skewed mindset.One last note for my three and a half listeners, expect more postings on here and I have a wicked surprise for you….we will be adding my poetry back to DJ-Draven.com. You heard it! It was removed, but will be back. Also, keep checking on the blog site for more postings will be happening.
