DJ-Draven's Band of the Month (2011 Nov):
HexRx is probably best known with their direct association with the legendary band, Kevorkian Death Cycle. Yet HexRx goes so far beyond Kevorkian Death Cycle in style, form, and the evolution of their music.
Roger Jarvis is the mastermind behind this prolifc band that present a rare mixture of Industrial Ambient and Electro-Industrial that to date no other band has been able to come close to. Each of the two albums X and D will present elements that will make them seem like they are from different people. This is part of the mastery in music that Roger shares in HexRx.
HexRx changes certain key people from album to album, this gives the music that Roger Jarvis has made a special tone and mood that makes the music of each respective album unique. This is as aspect that only one other band has attempted, but not at the level that HexRx has achieved.
Roger Jarvis is a pioneer to modern music and HexRx is proof that he is one of the best the world has to offer. For this alone, we are honored to have HexRx as Band Of The Month!
Bruderschaft is really the only other band that has attempted to have a new band member layout for each release. The key difference is that Bruderschaft has only done two original songs, HexRx has done two complete albums. HexRx is unique as are their respective albums. This one element also presents special concerts as well. They are a band that we highly recommend anyone to see perform many times.
